Metropolitan Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, episcopal seat of the metropolitan archdiocese of Siena-Colle di Val d'Elsa-Montalcino; the building is located in the square of the same name, in the Terzo di Città. In 1870, a fire destroyed the external wooden dome and part of the wooden roof of the nave, which were restored; the wooden part today has 15< years and require constant monitoring to ensure a long life free of parasites. We have adopted 2 technologies, the Microwave and Anoxia technique
The two techniques combined have made it possible to clean the beams of any pests without altering the nature of the wood in either colour or structure, allowing us to intervene in a targeted manner with two completely ecological systems. Our experience helps us to intervene in a targeted and precise manner
